Kôr - Vancouver, Canada

Kôr is an auditioned, a cappella, mixed voice ensemble within the Gracenote Vancouver Choral Association. The organization strives to foster care, openness, and friendship among its members. Kôr performs works from many different genres and cultures, and in many different languages. Past season highlights include recording and performing with singer-songwriters Luke Wallace and Laura Reznek, collaborating with ensembles Corazon and Lalin, and touring BC’s interior.

Laura Metcalfe and Danica Kell grew up singing in choirs. and credit their passion for choral music to Corazon and Korora, and the Surrey Children’s Choir and Elektra, respectively. Both have careers and degrees in other fields, but when asked about what’s important in their lives, they talk about choir.
