The Megaron Chamber Choir, founded in 2003, has become a leading choral ensemble,
recognized internationally for its rich sound and compelling interpretations. It has performed

renowned orchestras and conductors.
Notable performances include U.S. tours (2019, 2022), Bach projects with conductor
Gary Graden (2020, 2025), and Slovenia’s first baroque-orchestra performance of Handel’s
Messiah (2022). The choir has won top awards at competitions in Slovenia, Germany, and
Spain, including first place at Marktoberdorf (2022) and third place at the Gallus International
Competition (2023). The choir has recorded two albums (Prišla je luč, featuring Slovenian
Christmas music, and Ptičice pojo, a collection of Slovenian folk song arrangements).
To mark its 20th anniversary, Megaron performed Schnittke’s Concerto for Choir (2024)
and received the prestigious Gallus Plaque for artistic excellence. It continues to push
boundaries with ambitious projects, reinforcing its reputation as a premier choral ensemble.
