Choirs

Choirs wishing to participate in the International Choral Kathaumixw must submit the following:

Choir application forms and supporting material must reach the office of the International Choral
Kathaumixw

Vocal Solo Competition

Members of participatiing choirs wishing to enter the vocal solo competition must submit the Vocal Solo Competition Entry Form on or before April 1, 2010 click here. Note no more that 5 singers per choir may enter a vocal solo competition. To view the competition categories and requirements click here.

There is no extra fee for singers attending as a member of a particating choir.

Individual Singers

Individual singers wishing to sing as a member of the of the Kathaumixw Festival Chorus and participate in the common song singing should contact the Kathaumixw office for details and requirements. The participation fee $185 CAD and includes 8 concerts (3 concerts as a singer).

Acceptance

The festival committee will notify choirs whether or not they are accepted as participants by December 15, 2009. Artistic and other factors play a role in the decisions of the committee.

There will be a maximum number of choirs per category and a limited number of entries per country.

Confirmation

Choirs must confirm their participation in writing by January 15, 2010. A deposit of 50% of the total participation fee must accompany this confirmation. If the confirmation and payment are not received by the due date, the festival reserves the right to accept another ensemble on the waiting list.

Choir members and idividual participants must pay a $185 participation fee. "Participants" include singers, conductors, accompanists, and chaperones. The registration fee covers tickets to concerts, competitions, social events, festival tranportation, a swimming pool pass, festival souvenir program, and other festival events.
