jeunesThe choir Les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie, of Moncton, New Brunswick was founded in 1969 by Sister Lorette Gallant.   Throughout the years, les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie gained national and international recognition by participating in many competitions and festivals across Canada, the United States and Europe, where they won numerous first place prizes and prestigious awards.  The choir is comprised of 33 singers aged 12 to 18 and continues to thrive towards musical excellence.  Les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie continue to spread the Acadian’s “Joie de vivre” by singing songs from the traditional Acadian repertoire.  The choir’s multilingual repertoire also includes religious, classical and contemporary compositions.

Nadine Hébert, director

Nadine Hébert is filling some mighty big shoes, her great-aunt’s in fact!  A former member and soloist of Les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie for eight years and assistant director for two years, Nadine is now continuing Sister Lorette’s music legacy by assuming the direction of the choir since 2005.

Nadine holds a Bachelor of Music from the Université de Moncton, majoring in vocal performance, where she was assistant director of the University Choir during her studies and had the honor of directing the renowned Quatuor Arthur-LeBlanc.  She was also a member of
Les Muses, a female vocal quartet, which acted as Acadian ambassadors while performing throughout Canada and Europe.
