La Fugue et Compagnie

La Fugue et Compagnie was founded in 2002. The choir is made up of amateur singers from the region Basse-Normandie and come together to promote choral music – often little known or contemporary – giving it their time, their passion and their enthusiasmThree times a year they gather to perform between three and six concerts, often accompanied by professional ensembles and soloists.  All their concerts are presented imaginatively using readings, lighting, space and any way in which the listener might gain a wider perspective and full impact of the music.  In 2007 La Fugue et Compagnie hosted the Powell River Academy Chamber Choir in Normandy.

Anne-Marie Crette

After studying piano at the Versailles Conservatoire, Anne-Marie Crette studied music at the University of Rouen, where she discovered what has remained here three musical passions: singing, choral conducting and teaching music. As well as teaching music and music history at the Conservatoire of Caen, she continued to study singing and conducting with Philippe Caillard, Claire Marchand and Valérie Fayet in Caen and also attended master classes abroad with Eric Ericson, Richard Miller and others. Ms. Crette has conducted several choirs and ensembles.  One feature of her vision has been to create thematic programs which include lesser-known works and first performances.  Since 2004 she has been in charge of Culture at the University, organizing many artistic events, exhibitions and concerts.
