Wild Mountain Thyme

Wild Mountain Thyme, an 18 voice chamber ensemble, is an auditioned community choir. The choir is based in Bonners Ferry, Idaho and has performed throughout the United States Pacific Northwest as well as in Austria as part of the Innsbruck International Choral Festival and in Hungary. In 2003 they were one of the 30 choirs chosen for “Festival 500: in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The choir sings a varied repertoire with a mix of a cappella and accompanied works. The 2005 concert series was a history of a cappella singing with works ranging from the Renaissance to Doo-wop. Choir members have a leaning toward multicultural music and events which foster a sense of community throughout the world. They believe that music can and should be a link joining people across the planet.

Vicki Blake

The conductor of Wild Mountain Thyme, Vicki Blake, has worn many hats in the arts world and revels in the variety and interrelatedness of all the arts. Her interests led her to studying theatre, dancing and choreography and her professional life included a seven year sting as a dance instructor and program developer at Luther College. She has worked with several Opera companies, toured internationally with choirs and currently conducts six choirs.
