Artists Choirs Jury Past Participants

 

St. Margaret’s AGS Tour Choir and Chamber Choir

The music program at St. Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Brisbane, Australia is dynamic, wide-ranging and popular. The School enjoys a strong choral and orchestral & string tradition. Secondary vocal students with various levels of experience and training may join the Concert Choir, Tour Choir, Chamber Choir, Gospel Choir or other smaller vocal groups. In 2004 the tour and chamber choirs made their first foray into overseas performance singing at the “Cantus” Festival in Austria and performing in England, Germany and France. Throughout the school year these vocal ensembles perform at many school functions, participate in Anglican events and compete in the Brisbane Eisteddfod and other competitions.

 

Catherine Baillie

Catherine Baillie is currently in her fourth year of conducting the choirs at St. Margaret’s Anglican Girls School. Ms. Baillie studied singing and music education at the University of Queensland majoring in choral methodology. She performs in various ensembles during her spare time and is the State Music Coordinator as well as conductor of the internationally recognized Australian Girls Choir.
