Palawan Children's Choir

The Palawan Children's Choir is the official performing group of the Palawan State University.  Reorganized in 2002 through the support of University President, Dr. Teresita L. Salva, the group has gained international acclaim through its concerts and performances worldwide.  The choir has participated  and won in festivals and competitions and has just recently returned from a very successful concert tour of Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, including the International Children's Choir Festival in Provence, and the International Choir Competition in Varna, Bulgaria.

John Pamintuan

John August M. Pamintuan (b.1972) is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Manila Philippines where he also took up studies in piano and voice.  He has won various international choir competitions and has given choral workshops around Europe and Asia.  Aside from being a consultant for choral music, he also holds regular music workshops specializing in the Kodaly Methodology of music education.  Towards the preservation of the indigenous music of the island province of Palawan, John has compiled and published volumes of his choral works and these have been performed by numerous choirs all over the world.
