Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir

Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir was founded in 1952. The choir has participated in many chorus competitions as the representative of Guangdong Province in their country and abroad and has received many prizes for its impressive performance thus making it one of the best vocal groups in China. The Choir is the only school choir to have won nine successive champions during all the nine interscholastic chorus competitions gaining the reputation of Model Choir. Recently awards were received from festivals in Australia, Japan, Korea and Germany. In 2004 the choir won the first prize in vocal and choir competitions in the 1st National Interscholastic Arts Show and was selected as the best program in the Awards Evening in the People’s Congress Hall.

Xie Mingjing

Xie Mingjing received his Bachelor of music education from Guangzhou Xinghai Music Academy. He is now the senior music teacher at Guangdong Experimental Middle School. As a teacher he has had much success and gained many commendations from the government. Under his leadership, choirs have won several gold medals in international choral festivals. Mr. Xie is a member of the China Musician Association, the Committee of China Youth Choir Committee and the director of Guangdong Chorus Association.
