Artists Choirs Jury Past Participants

Victoria Children’s Choir

In September 2001, 50 children from Victoria, Canada and areas surrounding the city met for the first time to rehearse in a brand new choir. Since then, these young musicians in the Victoria Children’s Choir have regularly performed with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Opera Victoria and the Victoria Choral Society. It continues to be invited as guest artist at fund-raising events and international conferences and last April staged their first solo concert which was a huge success. However, the highlight of their very short career was singing for Her Majesty the Queen at a private luncheon while she was visiting Victoria in 2002. In July 2003 the Victoria Children’s Choir were featured in the Official Ceremonies at Whistler, BC when the successful bid for the 2010 Olympics were announced.
