Linden Singers
Linden Singers of Victoria, Canada is a community-oriented choir now it its 22nd year of commitment to the enjoyment and performance of choral music. Dedicated to community service, the group performs public concerts throughout their city as well as mini-concerts in retirement centers, care facilities and at civic events. Linden has won the National Lincoln Trophy for Choral Singing, sponsored by the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals and has twice been a semi-finalist in the CBC Choral Competition. Recently Linden enjoyed a wonderful tour of New Zealand performing 12 concerts while there.
Frances Pollet
Frances Pollet is the founding conductor of the Linden Singers. She is currently director of Music at First Metropolitan United Church. Past accomplishments include 10 years of teaching high school English and music, 7 years Music Director of Grass Roots Theatre Company, and Director of Music at St. Matthias Anglican Church. She is currently serving on the national steering committee of the United Church Association of Musicians. She brings to Linden her expertise in vocal production and interpretation as well as a wide ranging flair for programming.
