Cantiamo Chamber Ensemble

Only three years old, Cantiano Chamber Ensemble is an auditioned youth choir from the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, Canada. The premise behind the ensemble is to provide a challenging and enriching choral experience for the area's most promising young musicians. A constant goal of the Ensemble is to broaden their musical knowledge and experience by being exposed to learned and talented musicians, directors and clinicians. Since its inception, Cantiamo has performed local concerts, attended the Canadian Rocky Mountain Music Festival, North Edmonton Choral Festival and toured Western Canada. In 2000, the singers hosted the Finnish Choir Sympatti after they had attended the International Choral Kathaumixw. Hearing this choir and their experiences at Kathaumixw inspired them to apply to this Festival in Powell River.

Jennifer Riley

Jennifer Riley graduated from Brandon University with Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. She has been living in the Comox Valley since 1998. During that time Ms. Riley has been the choral director at GP Vanier Secondary and now is at Mark Isfeld Senior High. She directed the Campbell River Singers for two years and is presently directing the Celebration Singers and singing in a vocal jazz group, Jazz Works as well as teaching private voice lessons.
