Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde

Stephen J. Ortlip organized the Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde in 1975 at the request of the Director of the Callanwolde Fine Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization has five choirs and serves approximately 200 children ages 8 - 18. The credo 'Service and Growth through Singing' characterizes its history.
The Singers have gained enduring admiration and affection of Atlantans for their many local performances, including regular appearances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and area businesses including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the American Cancer Society. The Young Singers tour nationally and internationally and have performed in all the capitals of Europe and North America. In June of 1999 they won several first and second place awards at the Golden Gate International Children's Choral Festival and have twice participated in the Welsh
Eissteddfod.
