The Junior Amabile Singers

The Junior Amabile Singers from London, Ontario, Canada is a group of young women who range in age from 9 to 16. Since its formation in 1989, this enthusiastic group has become a disciplined, renowned children's choir in the community. The Choir performs several times a year throughout the London region, hosting concerts and performing as guest artists. The JAYS have performed with Orchestra London, the Woodstock Strings, the Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus and London Pro Musica. The highlight of the 1996/97 season was the Junior Amabile Singers' two week tour of England, Scotland and Wales where they competed in the Llangollen
Music Eisteddfod in July. They competed in both the Youth and Children's
category placing seventh out of twenty-seven choirs.
Jacquelyn Norman
Jacquelyn Norman is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Music and Faculty of Education. She has also received Kodály Certification from the University of Western Ontario. She brings a wealth of choral experience to the Junior Amabile Singers as an alumna of the Ontario Youth Choir and UWO Faculty of Music Singers. Ms. Norman joined the Junior Amabile
Singers in 1991 as a vocal coach and assumed the position of conductor in
1992.
Wendy Gee
Wendy Gee is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Education and currently teaches at the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts in London. Ms. Gee enjoys her work as co-conductor of the Pearson Singers, the London Youth Symphony Young Strings Program and as Musical Director for various Original Kids productions. Past conducting experiences have included the London All City Choir and the Kettle Creek Kids Choir.
